Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore, is an amazing Hollywood actress and author whose talents have earned an acclaim from critics as well as recognition. Sagittarius. Born in North Carolina, on 3rd December, 1960. She's one of the three oldest children to Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a paratrooper. She's English as well as Scottish. Moore had a difficult time as her family was constantly moving due to her dad's work. Moore's family relocated from the United States to Germany and she attended Frankfurt American High School, in which her first roles were in productions. Her education continued at Boston University where she graduated in 1983, with a B.F.A. in Theater. Her career in theater began at New York with Off-Broadway Theater following her graduation. She made her screen debut in 1985 when she appeared on an episode of The Edge of Night. In 1986 she was cast in the dual characters of Sabrina Hughes, and Frannie Hughes on the show As the World Turns. It was this role that gave her the opportunity to break through and resulted in her successful career. The show lasted from 1986 to 1988. World Turns through 1988. In recognition of her performance she won a Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she debuted in the cinema world through Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), both Robert Altman productions, were her debut films. Her performance in the critically-acclaimed short-cuts (1993) brought her a number of nominations. Moore was her first major character in Safe(1995). In 1997 the actress career was at a crossroads when Steven Spielberg cast her to star in Jurassic Park: The Lost World that became the highest grossing film of 1997. In 1999, she was a part of the critically-acclaimed Magnolia and earned a SAG Award nomination in recognition of her work. The film was co-produced by Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and others for The Hours, which was nominated nine times for Academy Awards. More films Moore starred in includes The Forgotten (2004) Freedomland (2006) Shelter (2010) as well as Shelter. Non-Stop aired in the year 2014. Moore has been in many films and shows.
